Meet the Skilled Team Bringing Your Oak Building Vision to Life

Steve has worked in the property and construction sector for over 40 years, including 15 years in high-end design and execution.

He’s a multi-talented individual who also served as a London-based Fire Officer while working on refurbishments in the residential industry!

Steve is passionate about growing Eavoak and bringing the company in line with the UK’s energy conservation and sustainability needs. His property development expertise gives him the knowledge needed to drive Eavoak’s growth while respecting the uniqueness of the existing business and its clients.

Outside of work, Steve is a keen sportsman and thrill seeker, playing golf, tennis and cycling. He’s an accomplished hang glider and has his light aircraft licence. He also holds a day skipper license for sailing and takes part in regular regattas.

He has two children and three grandchildren who keep him very busy.

Having been in the business of oak framing since he was 17 years old, Dan has a wealth of knowledge and over 20 years of experience with Eavoak. Working his way up through the company from apprentice to qualified carpenter and team leader, he has learnt from the best and now heads up our project management team. His time is spent liaising with clients and suppliers to provide a seamless experience from start to finish.

In his spare time, Dan is a proud Dad to two boys and spends much of his time up and down the country, supporting and coaching them with their love of ice hockey.

Christine has been part of Eavoak since the business began, give or take a few months. She is the glue that keeps the place together, and there isn’t much she doesn’t know! From clients to suppliers, to planning departments, and everyone in between, she is a wealth of knowledge in our business, a welcoming face and a voice of reassurance.

Christine is a keen golfer, taking part in competitions when time allows. She also loves to travel.

Emma brings over 20 years of branding and strategy experience into Eavoak. Having headed up teams across a variety of industries, she was well-equipped to direct and manage our recent rebranding project from Rookery Barns to Eavoak.

Emma is responsible for the communication materials shared with a wide range of clients, aiming to grow the awareness of the Eavoak brand. She is also hard at work on new initiatives to highlight our focus on sustainability, create new partnerships, and integrate the business further into the local community.

When she’s not working, Emma is kept busy by her two sporty boys and watching their various sports matches. She loves to stay fit and enjoys walking her lively black lab, Rosie.

Megan began her planning career in 2003, working as both a Planning Officer and Senior Planning Officer at Mole Valley District Council and Waverley Borough Council.

Megan excels in developing strategic plans to maximise a site’s potential by skilfully combining permitted development rights with planning permissions. She’s especially adept at dealing with the challenges presented by the Green Belt and has a deep understanding of planning policy.

When out of the office, Megan enjoys long runs in the countryside.

Helen is a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and has worked in planning since 2022. She began her career at Mole Valley District Council, where she served as a Planning Officer and Senior Planning Officer from 2002 to 2018.

She is especially interested in planning appeals and excels at constructing compelling and persuasive arguments against reasons for refusal. Her understanding of planning policies and regulations makes her an invaluable asset in navigating complex planning challenges.

When she’s not working, Helen can be found enjoying a spot of gardening.

As a qualified interior architect and architectural designer, Stephanie has over 15 years of experience with local architectural firms, gaining valuable experience in high-end residential housing.

With a wealth of understanding, Stephanie excels in creating well-balanced and sympathetic designs to suit her clients’ briefs. She also works closely with our planning consultants to secure approvals with great success.

With over 20 years of experience in construction and high-end oak furniture design, Tom has helped hundreds of clients transform their ideas into reality.  He works closely with all the trades, from groundworkers to high-end carpenters, and can help explain the design and build process and accurately price complex, bespoke projects.

Outside of Eavoak, you can find him sailing or windsurfing on the south coast with his wife and two boys.

A master of oak and other hardwoods, Dave has crafted and installed countless oak creations, including intricate doors, windows, and detailing, bespoke furniture and hardwood kitchen worktops. For the last few years, he has dedicated his skills and passion to bench joinery.

With over 35 years of experience working with various woods and the necessary machinery, Dave has extensive knowledge of using and maintaining moulders, double-ended tensioners, spindles, planers, resaws, and profile grinders.

As a qualified carpenter and master of his craft, Dave lives and breathes his job. He shares his passion with his team and makes sure every detail is exact and that every single project receives the same amount of love and care.

If he’s not in his workshop, you’ll probably find him enjoying a variety of countryside pursuits and trekking across the UK.
