Double-Storey Oak Annexe Design & Build

Set amidst three acres of rolling Hampshire hills is a hardworking, sustainably minded farm.

Our designers worked closely with our clients, designing an oak frame annexe that felt homely and would harmonise with the nearby buildings and beautiful landscape. The clients wanted a spacious upstairs bedroom, which we accommodated by raising the height of the eaves to create more space.

The stunning fitted kitchen is the star of the show, with a built-in oak island that’s perfect for relaxed entertaining. The open-plan layout leads effortlessly into the living room, with its vaulted ceilings and feature wood burner, while bi-fold doors and the flower-packed patio hint at the possibility of summer breakfasts in the sunshine. Practicality abounds with a fully equipped utility room and plenty of integrated storage, keeping noisy appliances out of earshot and household essentials out of sight.

The upper floor is home to a fully fitted bathroom and bedroom. Dormer windows look onto the expansive landscape, while built-in storage allows for an uncluttered, restful haven.

Oak Framed Porch

Our clients needed their new oak framed porch to enhance their existing sustainable farming business and provide a sense of ‘arrival’ for all workshop attendees. The green oak porch accomplishes this with ease, transporting customers into a treasure trove of floral abundance. Knowing that the green oak is maintenance-free and will age to a gentle, silvery tone was a significant benefit to our busy clients, who were pleased that they would have one less job to do in future years.

A fully Managed Service

We handled the planning on our clients’ behalf, ensuring the oak framed annexe and green oak porch were approved and constructed in a seamless and timely fashion. Once approval was granted, we managed the entire project – groundworks, construction, and finishing touches – ensuring the build was as simple and unobtrusive as possible.
