After nearly 25 incredible years in business, we decided it was time to give Rookery Barns a makeover. And so, after a little polishing here and there, we are now called Eavoak.
The Eavoak team is made up of the same people who design and build the same beautifully handcrafted oak-framed buildings; we simply have a new look.
Why have we changed our name from Rookery Barns to Eavoak?
When we first began as Rookery Barns back in 1998, we focused on crafting smaller oak-framed structures such as garages and porches. Over time, we grew and developed the business and our team. As part of this, our focus has moved towards the planning, designing and constructing of larger oak-framed spaces and commercial ventures, many of which go beyond the traditional definition of a ‘barn’.
This meant it was time to move on.
We chose the name ‘Eavoak’ because it embodies the strength, grace, and heritage of oak, our principal building material. It also reflects the time-honoured craftsmanship that goes into each bespoke structure.
The new name also demonstrates our dedication towards working sustainably. The rapidly changing natural environment means the integrity of our materials and processes is increasingly essential, and this is something we want to reinforce.
Lastly, the name Eavoak echoes the emotional connections so many people associate with our spaces. More than four walls and a roof, they are spaces with heart and soul where you can create lasting memories and an enduring legacy.

Will my building’s guarantee and warranty stay in place?
Yes, we are the same business with the same registrations and will continue to honour existing guarantees. Your warranty will continue exactly as per your signed Rookery Barns Ltd Terms and Conditions until the end of its term.
Have you changed your contact details?
All our contact details remain the same. Our email addresses will be updated, but you can continue to use the old ‘RookeryBarns’ addresses as they will still reach us.
Will this name change affect my planning application?
No. All planning and building control applications that are currently with Councils will remain in the Rookery Barns name and will be unaffected by the company name change.
How will these changes affect my contract with Rookery Barns?
Your contract will continue as per your Rookery Barns Ltd contract and will not be affected in any way.

The short answer is simple: green oak is oak that’s been recently cut and sawn, while seasoned oak is wood that’s been cut, sawn and then left to dry.
